The reason you hire DaVinci's over another company is the fact that we use authentic Venetian Plaster.
There's a lot of companies that claim to use authentic Venetian plaster, and you can find Imitation plaster at benmore Sherman Williams at $60/gallon, and you're welcome to use it. Though, what you will find is that imitation plaster has no longevity. It's not true authentic Italian Stone marble, imitation is a synthetic lime based product. Using Synthetic lime (Imitation) would be equivalent to putting plastic on your walls. Imitation also has no PH balance of alkaline that authentic does, which helps fight mold and mildew growth. Authentic plaster is fire proof and historically survived a volcanos and still stand today at the city of Pompeii.
Authentic plaster also helps with the heating and cooling of your home as it creates a barrier of Breathable Insulation, similar to how stone would. The many preventative measures of having authentic venetian plaster are not present in imitation plaster.

Venetian plaster is one easy way to "go green." The ingredients are all natural and non-toxic, and when applied in a two or three coat veneer, plaster provides an optimal indoor air quality. Lime is also naturally high in PH, so it automatically acts as an antibacterial surface, which inhibits the growth of mold and other fungus. Plaster will also have a positive impact on your energy costs, since it is applied in multiple layers of wood and cement board before the plaster is spread, it is an easy way to add layers of insulation to your home, making your furnace and air conditioner more efficient.

Not only does plaster provide a great source of isolation for building walls, but Venetian plasterwork also provides security to constructions because of its anti-flammable properties. It is believed that, even since ancient times, people were aware of this fantastic quality and used plaster on all their buildings in the hopes of fire proofing their homes. It was common practice to paint over it to add more personality and feel to their habitat. The plaster itself is so resilient that the original plastering on the walls of the ancient city of Pompeii in Naples can still be seen today.
